Principal’s Report
Student population is up 17 since the beginning of the year (16 with special needs). St. Andrew’s is becoming known in the community for it’s success with students with special needs
Kindergarten registration started well – 8 so far (last year this number at this time was 0)
Literacy Program (FROG) with the use of Tutors in the Classroom funding has been very successful. We have collected data to see where students are starting and are intensively targeting phonemic awareness, sound blending and decoding using decodable books
Community use of schools is operational again and our facility is being used by multiple groups after hours
Indoor clubs have opened up during lunch recess and they are using the newly refurbished library
There will be a new spirit wear order in the spring
St. Andrew’s will be producing a Stations of the Cross Children’s book and will be sold in local parishes. Proceeds from the book will go to St. Andrew’s literacy program
New Projects – fundraising goal for this year will be $5000.00 again
We would like to purchase new technology – the goal is 3 new laptops per classroom
We would like to boost our internet capability

This can be done in stages
Shrove Tuesday
K of C donating maple syrup and batter
Student council will do the clean up
Tanya will buy juice boxes, plates, napkins
2 classes at a time for 15 minutes
MEP will cut oranges
Valentine’s Day Bake Sale
Junior/Intermediate families making food this time
Tanya will organize volunteers
