Week At A Glance

April 29 – May 3

Congratulations to our Saints of the Week Colton Kennedy and Kamdin Rochon-Johnson!!

The Catholic School Council will meet again on may 28th at 6pm in the school library.  If you are interested, please feel free to attend.  For more information, please reach out to the school.

Our E-Sports League is up and running.  We have 40 students on ten teams who will be vying for the Ultimate Mario Kart Championship. The E-Sports League will continue through the spring and we will have playoffs in May and a live championship in June.

Sunday, April 28th, our grade 2 students celebrated their First Communion at St. Andrew’s Parish @10:30 mass.  Congratulations to all of our students on this wonderful moment in your faith journey.

As mentioned in the monthly newsletter, as a result of a shortage of buses, we are not going to be able to have end of the year trips as they have been held in the past.  This year, we are going to bring the fun to St. Andrew’s and have a fun day.  The day will include swimming, inflatables, a free lunch and much more.  More details will be coming soon.

Catholic Education Week will be from May 6th to the 10th this year.  Our student council has decided to include a spirit week as part of this year’s Catholic Education Week, so we have different theme days for every day.

Monday            Decades Day (dress as your favourite decade)

Tuesday            Jersey Day (wear the jersey of your favourite team)

Wednesday       Celebrity Day (dress as your favourite celebrity)

Thursday          Twin Day (find and friend and dress up together)

Friday               Pyjama Day (enjoy the comfort of your PJs at school)

We will also be having a celebration for the grade 2s who will have completed their First Communion, celebrating a board-wide mass, learning the ancient practice of Christian Meditation, building a Wall of Kindness, and welcoming our local members of the CWL and Knights of Columbus.  It is going to be a wonderful week of celebrating Catholic Education and we would like to invite parents to join us for a Good News Assembly at 3pm on May 10th in the gym to culminate the week.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to the school.
